UNIVERSITY OF BATH LACROSSE
University Of Bath
2nd Year Physics
I took up lacrosse at Uni as a way of meeting people, keeping active and to try something new.
From day one I’ve never looked back. Three years later, I’ve played two seasons in the BUCS southern premiership, held two roles on my club committee (social sec and men’s development coordinator) and met countless like-minded people from my university, and the wider lacrosse community as a whole.
University of Bath Lacrosse club
The University of Bath has three competitive lacrosse BUCS teams, with two competing in the Southern Premiership.
At Bath the Club prides itself not only on being hard-working and competitive on the pitch, but being a very close group of friends and a fantastic social network. Club members enjoy socials ranging from the weekly Score to memorable nights out like Pokemon and Laxmas. Members can be as involved as they want, and many find that after just one Wednesday social with us, they're hooked for the rest of their university career!
Alongside the current student population, we have a thriving alumni (Exiles) network, with Bath students going on to play internationally in both Field and Box lacrosse and for clubs across the country. We also have a combined alumni and student touring team (Bathletes) who compete in tournaments in the UK and in Europe.
Bath Lacrosse Club (SEMLA/SWWL)
As a university we are lucky to have such strong relations with our local SEMLA/SWWL club. The club second team gives us a way to get game experience for our new freshers whilst the first team is a great way for our more senior members to get additional game time.
In addition to playing for our local team our men also compete in an annual derby against Bath Lacrosse Club, known as the John Harrop Cup this gives the uni a chance to get some game experience playing as a team before the start of the BUCS season.
