As students that were new to lacrosse when we started university; we understand from experience the inherent challenges and benefits of learning a new sport whilst studying.

We are both currently members of our respective committees (Alex is this years Club President and Joel has reprised his Beginners sec role) so we have a combined desire for both progressing our newest players, ensuring they get the opportunity to represent UoM as well as developing our current players to achieve their full potential.

The Sporticipate initiative run by our AU is also a big part of our roles as ULO’s . These sessions are shorter, less intense and more recreational in nature. They are open to all abilities and completely free of charge for all UoM staff and students alike. For more information and specific session times, check the Manchester sport website and download the timetable.

We are very lucky in Manchester to have a number of well established lacrosse clubs on our doorstep. From Poynton to Timperley; current and former players have always had great links and support, enabling them to continue their lacrosse journey beyond university.
